The Daily Roller Coaster Of Stress

No one wakes up and says, "I can't wait to be stressed out today."
We don't consciously choose to feel anxious, worried, stressed, or on edge throughout the day. But many of us face daily unconscious triggers that keep our bodies in a constant mode of fight or flight. When we come up against things like a conflict with family/significant others, issues at work, or something as simple as traffic, we slip into this primal fight-or-flight response over these perceived dangers.
When this happens, our bodies produce adrenaline and cortisol, and our heart rate increases. All in preparation to fight or run – and more often than not, we don't do either of those. What we usually do instead is absorb the emotions and continue throughout our day.
Did you know it takes about 30 minutes for your body to recover when your nervous system is activated this way? What happens if, within that time, something else comes along to unconsciously provoke you? That's right, your body doesn't have time to recover.
Take a moment to scan your body and see how you're feeling. Where do you have stored tension? Do you suffer from pain or dis-ease? These are the places through which your body is speaking to you. You must consciously choose to activate your parasympathetic nervous systems to recover from this daily fight/flight rollercoaster, and release the negative emotions.
There are many ways to restore homeostasis. Here are just a few examples: being in nature, meditating, quietly reading, dancing, laughing, chanting, a bubble bath… a sound bath.

When I play, it's never about me. It is always about YOU.
My purpose is to take you on a journey - back to yourself - and help you restore peace within your body.
